I enjoy watching the wolves they're all so beautiful and they might not be in the wild but NY Wolf said one time that there is limited humans. With limited contact the wolves remain wild and they do know when a human is there. Tyke and Lava were on there platform last summer and both of them all of a sudden stood up and looking around both directions at the fence and then they bolted towards the den. A few minutes later a couple of staff walked by I have read quite a few books that say how the wolves react in the wild when they sense humans in the area they retreat from the area. I had also seen Rhett asleep and he woke up and immediately went to the fence his eyes trained on one area then the whole pack was up and they didn't lay down till they left. Again I saw two people they were doing something on the other side of the fence. Everything I read and learned through reading on the NY Wolf site I have seen even there feelings of love for each other and the feeling from losing a mate make no mistake there feelings are as strong as peoples. Trumpet had drug carcass thru the trees for her and her pups. Alawa relaxing, Lava relaxing with an endless amount of bones and pups with glowing eyes.
