Review for CRRC of Canyon Lake Inc, Canyon Lake, TX, USA
In 1993, I moved to this area not knowing one soul so I looked for a place to volunteer. I liked the mission of this organization and started working as a volunteer driver to take folks to doctor appointments, but when they needed a receptionist I started working in the office. That' when I really learned the scope of the place. No day was ever the same: from helping a family with food or rent to organizing workers to clean up after a flood, CRRC has always been first in line when it comes to helping area residents. While their mission hasn't changed over the years, their services have and their list of accomplishments is too numerous to detail in this space. Just suffice it to say that when there's a need, CRRC is the first place folks turn to. Even when we can't help them, we point clients in the appropriate direction to receive services from other organizations. That's why "Resource" is part of the CRRC acronym.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the faces of those CRRC has helped. Clients are shown true concern and treated with respect. Many of them have returned later to volunteer.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
give them a more recognizable name. CRRC is an acronym for "Community Resource & Recreation Center". While I understand the reason for its current name, it would be nice to have something more recognizable.
