Ceres is such an amazing organization in my community. When I was in elementary school, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, and my family received meals from Ceres every week. Ceres not only brought handmade meals into our home, but also kindness and love when we needed it most. Ceres made such a positive impact on my family that once I was old enough to volunteer, I began volunteering in the kitchen and the garden. Volunteering was such an amazing experience for me in high school and taught me so many valuable things about cooking, gardening, nutrition, leadership, community, and more. I cherish every moment that I spent with Ceres and am so grateful for the impact that their organization has on my community.
