I have been a donor to IJ for many years. Before that I served as Ombudsman for Property Rights for Connecticut. Kelo was a CT case. I personally observed the effect it had on owners, agencies and our state courts and courts of other states not to mention the 40 plus states that made changes to their statutory schemes and some to their constitutions. IJs outstanding representation given to so many New London, CT owners who could have never paid the costs to bring a case to the US Supreme Court remains reason enough for me to continue my donations. Since then I have followed the work done by IJ and consider their representation of so many people throughout the country who would have been overpowered by agency and court decisions, if left unchallenged, just outstanding.
If you have a home, a business, a farm or property along a shore line, any property, and believe as I do that there has to be limits on government, then contributing to IJ is one of the best ways to insure your own property and rights will be protected.
