First Nations Development Institute is one of, if not the most, rewarding charity that I have supported over the past several decades. The organization is a national leader in bringing different tribal perspectives together; developing thoughtful programs, rooted in the real needs of the communities it serves, that will strengthen Native life and culture across the country; and doing so in a way that lifts spirits in ever-widening circles of grantees, internal staff and donors. Indeed, one of the most remarkable features of First Nations is how it educates and engages with its donor community, providing intimate insight into the people and policies that carry forward First Nations' work on the ground.
