We recently rescued a Blue Nose Pitbull that had been dumped in the desert and left starving in twenty degrees weather after having puppies. She was in such poor condition the vet thought she was twelve when in fact she was only around four. We were advised that she was thirty pounds under weight and had a dislocated hip that might lead to needing her leg amputated. Thankfully START rescue stepped in and raised the funds needed for her medical care. With the help of START we were able to take her to see a specialist. Under the treatment of the specialist she was able to heal without the need for amputation. Once she was healthy, START found HOPE a forever home where she is at peace and completely loved.
