Sandy Hook Promise is an organization focused on gun safety. Created by the parents who lost children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown CT in 2012, this organization is focused on preventing future episodes of gun violence.

SHP understands that it is not only about guns but also the humans who used them to wantonly kill innocent people. Their pillars include education, engagement, partnering, and advocacy and they take a logical, analytical, pragmatic approach to solving our national gun safety issue.

If there is to be change in how this country addresses gun violence, you can expect SHP to be at the forefront of the effort. Kudos to them for their unwavering commitment to making the necessary changes a reality.
