Since the country was devastated by the horrific tragedy of Sandy Hook, SHP has worked tirelessly to bring about commonsense gun reform. We’re not out to see effected legislation that will negatively impact the freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, rather, we simply want a national ban on assault weapons, and background checks that actually work. We tout ourselves as a First World country, yet we stand by with our hearts in our hands and our hands in our pockets—tragedy after tragedy. We are tired of ineffective lawmakers who cannot deliver safety to the masses of their constituents. SHP has never wavered in its quest to keep our children and communities safe. The mentally ill should never be permitted to legally purchase assault weapons or tactical gear. No ever.
