Every time there is a mass shooting at a school it breaks my heart. I have an 11yo son who gets so nervous to go to school but he is brave and goes anyway but I know he thinks about it way too often. I’m very excited to be a part of SHP and I can wait to start making an impact to help us see less school incidents. I chose SHP because they help you to find actions to participate in and provide materials and support to help volunteers get the most out of their participation and to help guide volunteers with one on one support chat. I hope one day our children won’t have to look over their shoulders and fear that they could be shot in school. They need to feel safe to learn and I want them to be able to focus on learning instead of wondering if their classroom or school might be a target. Thank you SHP.
