ATOU has taught both of my kids (as well as hundreds of others!) the humanity of, and realities faced by, people with disabilities. This in turn has made all of those kids not only aware of and empathetic towards physical and intellectual differences; it has driven some of them to action in changing language and attitudes across their peer set. Understanding breeds change, and there is no stronger way to build understanding than direct human contact. Thank you ATOU for providing this to so many!!!
