I have adopted dogs 6 times - 5 from other organizations. I have filled out over a dozen applications in attempts to adopt in the past. I have learned "The Process" is often painful, it is tedious and often it is intrusive and overall inexplicably difficult to the point of being inhibitive.
Adopting from PAWS New England from the beginning was none of these. The application is straight forward and simple. The contact and interviews were honest and matter of fact while being fun. The entire time I was adopting my new puppy I was kept informed as to "the behind the scenes" necesities. This entire episode has been celebratory and wonderful. I felt supported in my efforts to open my home and heart to a new puppy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the people that do the work and the mangement and care that is obvious in every step along the way.
