Five and a half years ago I started volunteering with Yorkie Rescue Houston as a tribute to my two Yorkies that had passed away. I considered my Yorkies rescued even though they didn’t come from a rescue group or shelter. I adopted them from families that no longer wanted them.
When the second one passed away I started searching for a Yorkie rescue group to volunteer with and found Yorkie Rescue Houston. The director is dedicated and passionate about taking in the little dogs that need it the most. Each little dog is vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped,
groomed, and has any and all health issues tended to while sparing no funds. When ready for adoption applicants are screened to find the very best possible home for each dog. The adoption fee charged never is enough to cover all the money spent to prepare a dog for adoption.
