I really enjoyed working with Amanda and Maris with Save The Whales. It was definitely eye opening learning about the watershed system here in Monterey/Salinas as well as how it all affects the whales in our own backyard. Amanda was very helpful during my time there and I definitely wouldn't mind volunteering with them in my time off. Studying Environmental Studies, I believe it is my duty to become more involved in environmental issues in my area and spread awareness to my community and Save The Whales does exactly that.
