CVA. Those 3 little letters behind my name add credibility to what I do every day in the field of volunteer engagement. But maybe more importantly, as someone who never completed college, it gives me the confidence that I know what I'm doing when I stand up before a room of my peers to present at a conference or am in a roomful of my co-workers and they are looking to me to better understand what makes a volunteer tick. I earned my CVA in 2017 and am in the process of renewing it. The CCVA works with volunteer engagement professionals before and after the process, but the mentoring and support doesn't stop there - they offer relevant and thought-provoking speakers and webinars to keep us up-to-date in our field. I've been in the field for over 28 years, and I've never felt so supported in all my career.
