We have welcomed the opportunity to sponsor a young person since our daughter Teresa was stillborn in 2002. A spokesperson came to our church explaining the program and on walking past the table of children, it was no coincidence that the card that caught my eye on the corner of the table shared a birthday with Teresa. We have sponsored more than one person over the years and mourned the loss of one of the non-profit’s early founders, Bob Hentzen. As a child-advocate, as a physician for children and as one who has served in the non-profit sector, it has been my privilege and pleasure to support and be a part of the work done by Unbound.
