A bright spot of moving to San Antonio has been getting to know the women behind For Her

April was Sexual Assault Awareness month, and May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I've seen the women at For Her fight for the safety, stability and support for the women in San Antonio in a number of unimaginable ways.

They host support groups (including one in Spanish) and dinners.
They are pillars of comfort and strength during reporting, SANE exams, and recovery.
They stay connected to resources all over the city that provide assistance with housing, trauma informed mental health providers, and legal assistance.

If you're looking for support, or looking to partner with an organization doing really hard work, I can't recommend them enough
