I started volunteering for SAFE over a year ago when I discovered that they had full disclosure of their financials unlike most rescues. Since then I've just developed more and more respect for all of the work they do as I've seen it first hand. Not only does all of the money benefit the animals, but the horses don't get adopted out until they are healthy, trained, and ready and they know that the home is a good match.
I'm so proud to say that I adopted one of their beautiful horses five months ago and it's changed my life.

Not only by seeing the horses and how they change as they become healthy and happy, but by becoming an adoptor of one of their horses. I've seen how they change the lives of the horses, change the lives of the people that work with the horses, and the lives of the people that foster and adopt them, all for the better.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
give them more money so they could have the barn they dream of having for the horses and make all of the upgrades to the property that they wish for.
