Review for Communities Of Shalom Inc, Fairmont, WV, USA

As a certified prevention specialist and someone who is very familiar with asset based community development I am quite impressed with the work of Communities of Shalom in Marion County, WV. I have participated in their Global Gathering, which celebrates the local nationalities and diversity of our area. I have been part of their Building Bridges conference which allows people of various backgrounds to learn more about community collaboration. I recognize them as an 13 year old organization committed to systemic and sustainable change.

their commitment to cultural diversity which has helped to enhance my own acceptance of differences. By participating in the Building Bridges conference I have rubbed shoulders with hundreds of community movers and shakers who are invested in our town's well being.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Want them to have enough funds to work toward hiring a full time coordinator.
