NEVER EVER, EVER do business with this organization. We had submitted paperwork to adopt a specific puppy who we got to know through the foster family. We were able to spend a lot of time with the puppy for a couple weeks as the foster family are good friends of ours. We fed, bathed, and had the puppy groomed. We spent time with this puppy, and it became part of our family. We completed the application for this specific puppy, had numerous conversations confirming all the information and we were told that everything was ok to get the puppy once they were able to get our current dog’s vaccination up to date. LCAR even agreed with the foster family that they would return the puppy to them for keeping until all of LCAR's "rules" were met. Our current dogs’ vaccinations had expired during COVID and we were unable to get an appointment for current shots. Called today to see if we could pick the puppy up and they said they adopted it out over the weekend to someone who attended one of their adoption events even though they told us they were unavailable over the weekend and could do nothing about the puppy until Monday. I do not know how I am going to break the news to my daughter who was deeply attached to the little one... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER EVER do business with these people.
