Labrador Rescuers came along at a time in my life when I was desperate for some help. Due to some health-related issues, I was no longer able to properly care for our 12-year-old chocolate lab, Luna. Luna joined our family in 2009 when she was a puppy and is a typical lab, sweet, happy, smart and affectionate. Making the decision to find her a new home was not an easy one, but because of the help I received from Labrador Rescuers, we are both now much better off. After a couple of false starts with other rescue organizations, I was referred to and reached out to Trish Forsythe at Labrador Rescuers. She returned my call the same day, listened to my story, and immediately jumped into action. She offered solutions other than rehoming that I might not have thought of, and directed me to their website to begin the application process if that is what I chose to do. Within a couple of days, we arranged a meeting and Luna was placed with a foster family. Not long after, she was permanently adopted and is now living a great life with her new family. I know this because I have received photos, videos, texts and email updates on a regular basis. Luna’s new family are thrilled to have her and that is the absolute best outcome I had hoped for. I have even been invited to visit so it doesn’t get much better than that! I wholeheartedly recommend Labrador Rescuers if you need to rehome your dog, or if you are looking to find a new member for your family. They care and it shows in their actions.
