Grist produces news about environmental threats that the corporate media establishment won't touch due to their ties with organizations that are causing those threats. These folks absolutely deserve an award.

public awareness. Being able to share the information that they produce through sound journalism is part and parcel of having a sane and stable democracy.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
get them a spot on cable television like on CurrentTV network, or say, maybe an hour show on NPR.
