I was required to complete Student Service Learning hours with a non-profit organization for school. Because I intend to go to law school to practice criminal defense, I felt that Wings would be a great opportunity for me to interact with incarcerated individuals and their families. Anne and the rest of the staff made me feel very welcome.
Wings provides interactive learning workshops for people transitioning back into society and for families and children. I participated in a lot of these workshops and always felt welcome to share my own experiences and feedback for the incarcerated individuals who listened via Zoom. I would highly recommend Wings to anyone who is making the transition back to society, as well as anyone looking for volunteering opportunities. I plan to continue participating in these workshop as I have learned a lot for myself. Thanks Wings!
