Review for Vermont's Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, South Hero, VT, USA
It is with pleasure that I write this note of support on behalf of Vermont’s Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. For 15 years I have worked with this remarkable organization providing a safe, loving place where children who have or have had cancer can come together, share their stories and simply laugh. There is nothing more joyful than the simple laughter of a child.

It is clear that our children have medical hospitals and doctors to treat their disease. In my experience, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta treats the dis-ease caused by their cancer journey. Through our programs, our children rediscover their childhood. They are allowed to be children, in all their glory. I remember my first year at Camp (as a member of the ropes course staff) I was simply amazed at the level of care and attention we provided. I thought to myself, “this is holistic healing at its best.”
