I have known about Sanctuary One since about 2008, when their story appeared in the local newspaper. I went on several tours and soon started donating monthly. I retired in 2014 and began volunteering. I am so glad I found this wonderful place. I like to tell people it's my second favorite place to be -- after my own home. Sanctuary One mirrors my own values and ethics. They care for people, animals and the earth and promote healing to all they touch. Every animal has value and intrinsic worth, apart from whatever the animal can do for human beings. I feel so peaceful when I am on the farm, and I feel very privileged to be a part of the organization.
