The Borgen Project is an AMAZING non-profit organization that enables you to connect with others who share the same passion. It helped me step out of my comfort zone with the different weekly tasks. I enjoyed the 1-mile campaign a lot because it allowed me to find out who was my elected officials at the time. Walking around the city hall posting flyers all over and advocating to end global poverty also drew the attention of many people who worked around the area but were unaware that a representative's office was nearby. They were more inclined to email and/or call our representative to support poverty-reduction legislation. Overall, I would 100% recommend people to apply to The Borgen Project Internships.
