Review for Northwest Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network Inc, Philidelphia, PA, USA
NPIHN connected me with volunteers and supporters in my own and other faith communities as well as with the families in the program. The organization not only provides housing and other supports for those in need, but it also builds bridges amongst individuals who would otherwise never meet, nurturing a greater sense of American diversity.
Most of the volunteer opportunities are tightly constructed, making them easy to fit into a busy schedule, providing different types of familiar or new experiences, and preventing burn out. Those inclined to be more deeply involved can find numerous ways to participate in a leadership role. Engaging in this organization is both a giving and a rewarding experience.
