Educational Pathways International (EPI) which is one of the outstanding and impactful organizations worldwide and their hardworking and exceptional beneficiaries inspire me to always give back my community and society at large.
My name is Alhassan Abdul-Majeed, a final year student at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Nyankpala campus located in the northern region of Ghana, studying BSc. Agricultural Engineering. I am a native of Gbulahagu which is a community under the Tolon district in the Northern region of Ghana. As a concerned citizen of Gbulahagu community, I have realized and experienced over the years that poverty is the persistent outcry among my people and as a future leader, I realized that the source of the problem was lack of agriculture education since almost the entire population of the community are subsistence farmers.
Being born and raised from such a community and being privilege to witness and go through all the above mentioned challenges, I was internally motivated to acquire agriculture knowledge and this accounts for my interest in agricultural engineering and advocating for the need of facilities and education in Gbulahagu after gaining the required skills and knowledge as a graduate and a professional Agricultural Engineer. I have served as a role model and a motivation to most of the youth in Gbulahagu.
Peace and hope has been restored in many homes, towns and villages through EPI’s scholarship hence enabling people to approach life in a better and a more excellent way. I must testify that the entire family and I continually enjoys peace, hope and love today as a result of the scholarship from EPI. My desire to study and learn new things keep increasing daily because of my exposure to several learning materials, educative programs, and mentorship sessions being organized by EPI. Thankfully, I am in the last year of my undergraduate studies by the grace of God and through the support of EPI.
Seeing how EPI has enabled me pursue my tertiary education, I am also drawn to be an advocate of giving back to society and helping the underprivileged to also develop their potentials and become assets to their society. Just as EPI believed in me and gave me a chance at furthering my education, so I believe in the potential of each person I meet especially the younger, disadvantaged ones and will work with organizations to help these people because everyone deserves a chance. Today it is all about Educational Pathways International (EPI) which is one of the outstanding and impactful organizations I have known and their hardworking and non-disappointing beneficiaries.
My name is Alhassan Abdul-Majeed, a third year student at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Nyankpala campus located in the northern region of Ghana. I am a native of Gbulahagu which is a community under the Tolon district in the Northern region of Ghana. As a concerned citizen of Gbulahagu community, it has come to my notice over the years that poverty has become the persistent outcry among my people. Being born and raised in such a community and being privilege to witness and go through all the above mentioned challenges, I was internally motivated to acquire knowledge in agriculture and this accounts for my interest in agricultural engineering and advocating for the need of facilities and education at my village after gaining the required skills and knowledge as a graduate and a licensed Engineer.
Peace and hope has been restored in many homes, towns and villages through EPI sponsorship hence enabling its beneficiaries to approach life in a better and a more excellent way. My desire to study and learn new things keep increasing daily because of my exposure to several learning materials, educative programs, and mentorship sessions being organized by EPI.
I am motivated not just to graduate successfully with a first class degree in Engineering but to go high in academia even up to the level of PhD in Engineering and this will imply that the quality of life of the human race in our various societies and beyond will take a high stand of improvement. My great appreciation and thanks goes to Educational Pathways International for personalizing the responsibility of transforming lives in our generation and I must say that EPI is worthy to constantly be celebrated in every place that life exist. Thank you.
