As a volunteer with the AWLA, I see firsthand how much this organization does. Besides finding forever homes for many animals of all species, the AWLA runs a pet food pantry for people who are in need of resources for their pets. They run summer camps and other youth programs to share information about animal care. They cooperate with shelters in other parts of the country to improve the chances of animals being adopted while sharing resources donated to this shelter with shelters in need. Such an awesome example of how people can help others and animals in need.
