Review for Cancer Schmancer Foundation, Reston, VA, USA
I have survived cervical cancer. I thankfully had non-cancerous fibroids on my uterus resulting in a hysterectomy. Thank goodness for Cancer Schmancer. I was able to get information in layman's terms and it helped me feel calm. It might be good to have a place for doctors. It is frustrating that the medical profession knows that women are different than men, but still treat us the same. The most current information could be provided. Also, I realize that doctor's are on a short time frame, but they should offer to schedule a longer time to discuss more serious conditions. It could be a reminder how to discuss major decisions that need to be made (e.g. - should the ovaries be removed during a hysterectomy).
