Wonderful organization. They provide sanctuary to horses who are cast aside for slaughter after careers in the racing industry rather than being allowed the dignity of retirement. Aside from serving their mission of saving lives, there are so many opportunities to learn and interact with the horses. From public programs to weekly open days featuring reading to the horses all the way up to volunteering at the barn, there are so many opportunities for enrichment for the horses and their human visitors. This is a place filled with kind-0hearted people working their behinds off to care for the herd. Look them up on Eventbrite if you want to visit.
