Review for Frisco Humane Society, Frisco, TX, USA
Less than a year ago, one Sunday morning I was introduced to Frisco Humane Society when I joined a group of strangers getting together to trap Feral / community cats. I showed up because a drop trap was going to be used and I wanted to learn how to work with a drop trap.
What I learned was that there is an amazing group of individuals banded together as the Frisco Humane Society who are totally dedicated / committed to rescuing cats and dogs for the purpose of rehoming into the best possible forever home and to reducing the number of animals euthanized each year thru rescue and the TNVR process.
Their willingness to drop what they have planned /rearrange their schedules to trap, foster, and support the members of the organization is impressive. Each member of the organization has shared their knowlege and calmed my panic at each new bump along the road to becoming a foster no matter how silly my fear / need.
The organization has pulled together/juggled plans to support every request I have made for assistance with cats associated with elderly individuals in rapidly declining health so that the cats could be placed in loving homes before their person died thus ensuring their person would have the comfort of knowing their beloved cats would be cared for and loved after their death.
I could not ask for better teachers to guide me as I learned about bottle feeding kittens, how to socialize kittens, how to trap effectively and efficiently, how to identify which community kittens can be socialized and how to have the strength to get thru the hard parts of rescue in which you can not save the animal you rescued. I think the Frisco Humane Society is a amazing organization. I am humbled to be a part of the organization.
