I volunteered with Udayan Care for a month from 10th Jan 2022. We conducted a research study on resiliency using the YERS framework as benchmark. This entailed interacting with care leavers across the country and mapping their experiences. The overall experience was wholesome. Interacting with people across the social strata gave a good exposure to the difficulties faced by those who are relatively less fortunate and struggles they face to uplift themselves. It also exposed us the functioning and the important roles CCIs such as Udayan Care play in moulding the personalities and effectively the future of these candidates.
