I completed an internship at Breast Cancer Hub and gained experience that I will value forever. Dr.Lopa is one of the most passionate people that I have ever met and she has continued to work hard to support those with breast cancer, help people learn about breast cancer, and debunk the myths that surround breast cancer. When I first joined Breast Cancer Hub, I was not even aware that men could get breast cancer. Through Breast Cancer Hub, I learned about the taboos surrounding breast cancer, how to self examine, and many other important facts regarding breast cancer. Through my internship, Dr. Lopa trusted me and her other interns to spread information using several social media platforms. From Tik Tok to Instagram, Dr. Lopa allowed us to be creative, innovative, and different. We were able to learn and present about breast cancer but also make a true difference in the community. Such a wonderful organization and I am so happy I could contribute.
