I wasn't looking to adopt. Honest, I wasn't. Lol. I can't even remember why I was browsing. When I saw Franklin's pictures, I instantly fell in love with him. I showed the pictures to my husband and, even though it was quite a drive, we decided to submit our application. The HART for Animals staff were amazing! I heard back quickly that our application had been approved contingent upon how our meeting went. Franklin hadn't had the life he deserved and he was very timid and shy. But the staff at HART had been very patient with him and he had been with them for quite awhile. They helped so much explaining his personality before we met so we knew how to approach him. They allowed us to spend as much time him as necessary for him to feel comfortable with us before we left for the long drive home. He was almost due for his flea medication so they gave it to us to take. His tags wouldn't fit on the ring of the harness we bought for him so they gave us a collar. He brought home his favorite toy. Even after we got Franklin home the staff at HART has been there with any questions or concerns I might have about him. But trust me, there haven't been many. He's an amazing dog! He loves my daughters and especially my grandchildren. And Peeta the cat is loving the cuddle partner. Thank you HART for bringing us together.
