Review for HART for Animals, Inc., Accident, MD, USA
Hart for Animals is such a caring shelter not only for the pets they rescue but also for the families that adopt pets from them. We have adopted two dogs from Hart in the last five years. When we started looking to rescue after losing a pet, we discovered Hart for Animals. I like the fact that they screen everyone very carefully. When we were chosen for our first adoption, they were very helpful. This little dog later on developed a rare brain disorder, after two years and became very sick. Hart did everything they could for her including helping us get set up the take her to Cheat Lake Veterinary Hospital for 24 hr. veterinary care, unfortunately they couldn't save hereither.
We weren't going to adopt again but wanted to help another, so we contacted Hart for Animals they were so patient with us and they tried for months to find us a suitable match that would work for the pet and us and get along with our rescued indoor cats. Then one day the miracle came and we were able to adopt Andi who we later named Josie. She is 5 year old little beagle. They gave her wonderful care while she was with Hart and now that she is with us she is living the spoiled life indoors with her new friends , our indoor cats. We still take her to Hart for her veterinary care. They are always so helpful. Willing to answer any and all questions that we have had about Josie's care, and our previous adoptee Lilly too, so that we may give her the best care and home with us. I also tell everyone, that may be considering adoption, about Hart for animals. I tell them about their website where can view everything about Hart online .The adoption wing, and veterinary clinic are very nice and the veterinarians are very kind to their animals. We still all of our routine checkups and if any issues arrive we go to Hart for Josie, even though it is about an hour drive from where we live. I know that the also have grooming and I believe boarding but we haven't used those services. Everything is always very clean, and the walking trails that they have for the pets are the nicest I have ever personally seen. The adoption play room, and pet quarters are not cramped giving the pets some indoor and outdoor play space. They take every effort to make sure that the animals are healthy before going home with their new families. and we were impressed from day one. Josie was a little chubby when we got her, with Harts guidance she is now at her perfect weight. I have included a picture of Josie/Andi while she was atHart with one of their technicians and house cat. This picture really showed us that she could get along with our cats which was very helpful. The others are her in her chair at our pavillion with us, her new cuddle bed and with one of our cats. Thank you Hart for all you've done for us. R Jones Lonaconing MD
