I have been connected as a volunteer with NPIHN for four years. Firstly, I chaperoned guests who were homeless and stayed at our synagogue for two weeks at a time. The, through the Director of NPIHN, i began mentoring a young woman who was moving into a small row house and wanted someone to advise her on decorating and meal preparation. She has a three year old son, and it has been a pleasure to work with her and NPHIN to help her settle in.

We have developed a very close relationship. I have been guided by NPIHN staff in how to deal with her and in helping her connect to resources in the organization and the community. Her life wouldn't be the same without the assistance and guidance of the staff of this excellent organization.
