Through the generosity of the Richard L. Ottinger Internship Program, I had the immense privilege of spending this past summer with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute as their Access Clean Energy Savings Intern. From my first day on the job, I was extremely impressed by both the wealth of knowledge brought to the table by team members, as well as the extent to which the organization operates cohesively towards their common vision of a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable world. Throughout my experience, I felt strongly like a member of the team, and I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and mentorship provided by all of the team members throughout my internship and to this day. From hosting interactive and comprehensive congressional briefings on grid modernization to publishing in-depth issue briefs on critical subjects like rural broadband access, EESI remains on the front lines of increasing public and congressional awareness of and access to exceptional educational information on innovative climate solutions for all Americans. With this five-star review, I highly recommend and will continue to promote EESI as an outstanding resource for all things sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmentally focused.
