Among all nonprofits within education and mentorship, Higher Up Texas is uniquely positioned to serve students and build a ladder to success. The remarkable architecture of support from administrators, public officials, students, teachers, and counselors to share and teach the values of HUT build up this organization from the ground up. As a mentor with HUT, I have heard students say to me that they felt "held" -- in this year of social distancing and isolation. I have heard students feel empowered and part of a community. HUT is not only a high school program; it becomes a part of a student's life into college and beyond, as a network and as learned skills to succeed into adulthood. HUT has earned and deserved all the recognition and amazing community reviews, and I am so excited to see this organization grow in support and in changing the community of students in the future.
