Review for Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Duquesne, PA, USA
This is a fabulously well organized and thoughtfully run organization. Hungry people are well served through smart management practices put into place and executed by caring people. The need in our area is increasing and the Food Bank strives to keep up with demand with a variety of community outreach collections, ranks of sorting and repack volunteers and folks who take produce out to local sites for pick up.
The Saturday repack lines prepare family sized portions of whatever the Food Bank is able to purchase -- cereal, pasta, french fries, frozen ravioli, or pack boxes of mixed cereals, and paper products.
