Review for Immigration Equality, New York, NY, USA
Without Immigration Equality, my partner and I would have probably lost hope a long time ago. But instead, the hard work that Immigration Equality does to change US immigration laws the fundamentally discriminate against LGBT individuals has given hope to tens of thousands of people like myself that are forced to live outside the US. Aiming to change immigration laws is a daunting task that Immigration Equality has stayed dedicated to and has the possibility of helping us realize. And now with a record number of congressional sponsors behind the UAFA, we are one step closer to making history - legislative history that will end decades of discrimination in the US. I am thankful for everything that Immigration Equality does and am hopeful that one day we will all receive the benefits granted to our heterosexual counterparts.
More Feedback
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the increased support of the UAFA act and Reuniting Families Act in Congress. The recent hearing on the UAFA byt eh Senate Judiciary Committee is one positive result of Immigration Equality's hard work as well as the recent attention by national media.
Ways to make it better...
There was a way for the families affected by UAFA currently living outside the US to contribute.
