Review for Hugs Project Incorporated, Oklahoma City, OK, USA
My husband and I started working with HUGS about 4 years ago. He became their primary HUGS material cutter. Having a system all of his own, I just assisted. Over the years, we think he cut over 100,000 of the 5" x 45" strips for the HUGS. He served in the Navy Reserves during the 1960's and was so pleased that he could help the troops now.
Sadly, he died in June of 2010. So many of the HUGS volunteers were at his service and sent cards and flowers. I am reminded constantly of his untiring work. I hope to "pick up the scissors" soon and begin cutting more material for HUGS. In November, family members and friends gathered to help pack boxes in Bob's memory. I'm sure he was smiling down on us.
