In 2008, our daughter, an OB/GYN, and mother of twins(age 2), died very unexpectedly. With the help of a local philanthropist, we chose Seton Home as "our" charity, raising matching funds for building an education center at the home, which bears her name. This building provides a place for year-round tutoring and summer classes for the residents, ensuring their educational success. The luncheon bearing our daughter's name has become an annual event. Since the building became a reality in less than a year, the monies now raised continue to provided much need funds for on-going supplies and expenses incurred by the 30-40 girls who take advantage of this wonderful home. They are encouraged by the excellent staff to reach their maximum potential, build parenting skills, and succeed in all ways. We are proud to be associated with this non-profit and know our daughter, who valued education for young women, would be happy with our efforts.

Review for United States Catholic Conference, San Antonio, TX, USA
Two years ago, after a generous friend contacted us to pick a San Antonio charity dealing with children with which to partner, we selected Seton Home to benefit from a fundraiser in memory of our daughter, Dr. Leslie Hunt Parks(38), Obstetrician-Gynocologist. We selected this wonderful organization because of its fine program of providing total care for pregnant, homeless teen women and their children. We were especially impressed that Seton Home stressed continued education for all of its' residents. There was a need for an educational building on the property, something that the leaders had desired for a long time. The 1st annual tribute to motherhood luncheon was a huge success with almost 400 in attendance and this year's luncheon is being planned. Seton Home was able to raise the matching funds offered by the Harvey Najim Family Foundation and groundbreaking on the Dr. Leslie Parks Education Building will begin soon. I know she would have approved of her name being used on such a worthy cause and soon the teen mothers will be able to attend summer classes in the new facility.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing them raise the matching funds and working on the luncheon committee with their board members and leaders.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
hope that they would "toot their horn" more, getting better publicity for the exceptional job they are doing with these special young women and their babies.
