Review for Immigration Equality, New York, NY, USA
Immigration Equality is the driving force behind the Uniting American Families Act (ACT). They gave me legal advice on how to cope with the current discrimination my partner and I face, as a binational couple, from the US Government. As well, the blog at Immigration Equality provides up to date information on the status of the UAFA which is a great comfort to me and my partner. This only strengthens our resolve to actively push for gay immigration rights. Immigration Equality was also behind the passing of the HIV travel and immigration ban. Though not yet implemented, the discriminatory Jesse Helms law will soon be part of history.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the increasing amount of UAFA cosponsors in the House and Senate. As well as including the UAFA with Rep. Honda's Reuniting Families Act. With this foundation, same sex immigration rights will likely to be included into Obama's immigration reform.
