I came to Sober Living America September 2020. Before I came in, I had been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for 38 years. I am not the same woman I was when I walked into the doors of SLA last year. I was introduced to the 12 step program and I was lead into a relationship with my high power who I choose to call God. Because of the SLA guidelines and a few simple suggestions , living the 12 steps and having a recovery sponsor. i now live a life of freedom from addiction. I am able to love myself. One of the great things about SLA is their vision of NO money, No problem. I had nothing but a pack back when I came in. No money. They accepted me into their program with open arms. I am forever grateful for SLA.
