My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Women of Power Network, Inc, Charlotte, NC, USA
Women of Power Network, Inc., especially the Developing Leaders Mentoring Platform, has shown itself to be a key community resource in the Greater New Haven, CT, area in a relatively short period of time. I work on a college campus where several of our second year female student leaders have expanded their leadership experience by becoming a mentor through WOPN. Both the collegiate mentors and their high school mentees have bonded with one another and are excited about the opportunities that WOPN has given them to learn about themselves, their future careers and their community. I look forward to the growth of the mentor and mentee pool and the collective impact that these young women will have in New Haven (and beyond)!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the activities with the mentors and mentees. They work very well together and are anticipating the journey they're taking as part of the DLMP.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Once we have established a solid footing with the group of mentors and mentees that we currently have, I would like to see an increase of the number of students, including representation from some of the areas other four-year colleges and universities.
