Review for Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences Inc, Doraville, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I came to MARR hoping to dry out for a few months and escape the mounting troubles my drinking was causing in my life. My idea of rehab was based mainly on tv shows...MARR was nothing like what I expected. I had to do real emotional work and confront a lifetime of feelings that I ran away from. I didn't know I was going to find a family in the staff and the other patients, but I did. I learned so much about myself, and most importantly how to live life on life's terms. Before MARR, I felt like a hamster in a wheel just barely making it through each day and never getting anywhere. Now, I have hopes and dreams, live is an exciting journey rather than a struggle. I gave myself fully to the program and have reaped the rewards. It is hard work, but it is worth it. The staff is expert and experienced. I am so grateful to have ended up at MARR and not at one of the yoga resort rehabs I had seen on TV.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My life is a thousand times better than before. I have coping skills, a general feeling of well being, and a set of friends I never thought possible. I know that MARR's staff and counselors are always there for me if I need to call for support and guidance.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would not change a thing. They have over 35 years of experience and they know what they are doing.
