Starting my recovery changed my life was the second best decision. Coming Sober Living of America was the first best decision I made for myself. SLA provided the love, tolerance, and leadership I needed to wrap my head around God's provision for me. Despite being gifted with people skills and decent intelligence, I was not able to build an independent life for myself. Not only did SLA show me how to simplify life and use these talents more effectively, they polished the talents and gave me an opportunity to do the same for others. I am thankful to have met so many people that believe in the new comer's ability to persevere and achieve. There so much more that can be said about this company and its transitional program, but to put it simply; AA may have turned my life around but SLA provided the vehicle for me to take recovery seriously.
