I started my journey in 2019 I honestly wasn't serious about my recovery at that time I needed to deal with court consequences that is what first got me there. I did fail because of that reason and ended up worse that before. When I asked to return I was given another chance and took it seriously now I am approaching 18 months of soberity and now have accountability and reliability in my life. As a result I have good quality relationships with others and can keep the things in life I gained. I was invited home for Christmas not from a since of obligation but because my family wants me to be there so it will be my first holiday that I have attended with family that I am wanted in many years and I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world.
