I’ve been volunteering for H.O.P.E. for approximately 5 years. I love this group. They are such a loving caring group of people. They are dedicated in finding the perfect home for the dogs and cats they rescue. I have fostered a number of dogs over they years for H.O.P.E. Each dog I have fostered has touched my heart in many ways. What is the most rewarding for me is when one of the dogs I’ve fostered and their new owners come and visit us at PetSmart on Saturdays when we are doing the adoptions.

In 2008, Good Samaritan found a little terrier that was beaten up badly, she was pregnant. I asked Margaret from H.O.P.E. for help. The dog (named Twiggie) had three puppies. Once the puppies were old enough they were put up for adoption thru H.O.P.E. I adopted the mom and one puppy. Twiggie is now a Therapy dog doing work for the Pet Prescription Team. Together we visit retirement homes in the Inland Empire. Thanks to H.O.P.E. this abused dog is now helping other.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
The only change I would make is to have more foster parents. If H.O.P.E. had more foster parents they would be able to save more pets.
