I started the process for HFH in 2017, did all that was asked of me..At one point, I was told I qualified for a home and immediately was overjoyed..Somewhere along my year journey, it's like they forgot about me. I was told that due to changes in the program..I didn't qualify for Habitat but the inhouse financing/free market. Unfortunately, I was then told I didnt qualify for that. It's hard getting accepted. Initially my income was high and that's only because they multipled a benefit that I received..which put me in a higher AMI...fast forward to 2021..my income has decreased significantly..but now I dont qualify because I make less money. This has been very stressful and I know I'm not the only one but I don't understand how someone didnt qualify making a decent income to afford a mortgage but denied..then not qualifying with low income..I thought this was an low income program..just sad but God will provide..
